Potter Valley is a richly diverse farming and ranching community best known for excellent winegrapes, grass-fed beef, pastured pork, lamb, pears, and prime hay and forage. William Potter, for whom the valley is named, was the earliest settler, arriving in 1853 to live on land claimed in 1852. The valley’s diverse population ranges from migrant workers to families who trace their roots back as many as seven generations to the earliest pioneers. Proud of our heritage, Potter Valley Community Parks & Recreation is looking to the future as we develop parks and recreation facilities.
